How To Stay Motivated throughout the week

Personal motivation is key to maintaining almost all aspects of life. If we're not motivated, we're more likely to misuse our time and neglect our personal and professional goals. Even the most determined people could lose steam sometimes; you’re certainly not alone when it comes to needing an extra boost from time to time. The week can start out great but then start to drag on for what seems like forever. Sometimes you need a little pick-me-up so you can get through the week. Here are some ideas to help you stay motivated.

Create the perfect morning playlist

Waking up early in the morning for school or work is not always easy, especially on Mondays. Get energized with a playlist of your favorite songs.

Write down your goals

Sometimes we have so many thoughts and ideas running around in our head, that we start to stress ourselves out and lose motivation.  A great way to combat this is by writing down your goals for the week to keep your mind clear and focused. It is also helpful to have a separate list of long-term goals so that in the back of your mind you know where you are headed and you have something to look forward to.

Make weekly checkpoints to track your progress

Everyone needs to see how they are keeping up with their goals if they want to stay motivated. If you see that you are on track or even excelling every time you check your progress, you will be motivated and happy that you are getting there. If you see that you are lagging on your goals, it may be the kick start you need to help get you back on track.

Plan for some ‘you-time’

One of the best ways to stay motivated is to take the time to find yourself and relax. We are always busy with school, work, family, friends, and all the activities we do in-between. However, it is important to do something just for you, even if it’s just a few minutes a day.

Develop an exercise routine that’s right for you

It’s easy to put off exercise when you know it’s something that you don’t like doing.  Instead of forcing yourself to do something that you just can’t stand or doesn’t bring you happiness, find something that does!

Finding your food balance

It’s easier to keep yourself motivated when you’re eating healthy because you’ll have the right nutrients to give you the energy that you need to stay active throughout the day.

Surround yourself with people who support you

With anything you may want to accomplish, it’s vital that you surround yourself with positive and supportive people who won’t steer you away from the direction you’re working towards.
